Chapter 1 General Terms and Conditions
Article 1 (Purpose)
This Agreement stipulates conditions and procedures for the use of all services (“the services”) provided by United International Immigration ("UIIM") Homepage, and rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and UIIM Homepage.
Article 2 (Validation and Modification of Agreement)
1. The UIIM Homepage applies this agreement to our services and your use of our services once you agree with our terms and conditions.
2. The UIIM Homepage may modify terms and conditions without notification. The modifications can be notified on the Homepage or via e-mail and are validated upon notification. If members do not agree with the modifications, they may cancel membership. If membership is not cancelled, it is considered they agree with the modifications.
Article 3 (Other Rules)
1. For issues not specified in this agreement, refer to the Electric Communication Basic Act, Electric Communication Business Act, Korea Internet Safety Commission Regulations, Internet Safety Rules, Program Protection Act and other related acts.
Article 4 (Definition of Terms)
The terms used in this Agreement are defined as follows:
1. User: Anyone who receives services provided by the UIIM Homepage.
2. Register: The act of filling in the application form on the UIIM Homepage and agreeing with this agreement to receive services.
3. Member: Anyone who is registered for membership by providing their personal information on the UIIM Homepage and has access to services on the UIIM Homepage.
4. Password: The combination of letters and numbers which users choose to verify their identity and protect their information online.
5. Cancellation: The act of canceling membership agreement.
Chapter 2 Use of Service
Article 5 (User Agreement)
1. User agreement is made by providing personal information on the application form when users register for membership on the UIIM Homepage.
2. The UIIM Homepage can cancel membership for agreements when:
1) A member used someone else’s personal information to register;
2) A member used fraudulent information to register;
3) A member interfered with others’ use of the UIIM Homepage services or used others’ information without authorization;
4) A member used the UIIM Homepage to violate law or this agreement;
5) A member does not meet the qualification requirements of the UIIM Homepage.
Article 6 (Agreement with the Use of Personal Information)
1. Members’ personal information is protected by the Public Organizations’ Personal Information Protection Act.
2. Your personal information on the UIIM Homepage is used, managed, and protected as follows:
1) Use of Personal Information: The UIIM Homepage will not disclose or distribute your personal information without your consent. If requested by a national organization or the Korea Internet Safety Commission under the Electric Communication Basic Act or other laws for criminal investigation or other purposes, the personal information you disclosed on the UIIM Homepage will be provided.
2) Management of Personal Information: You may modify/delete your personal information for your protection.
3) Protection of Personal Information: You should be the only person that has access to view/modify/delete your personal information. Your ID and password are used to restrict access to your personal information. Therefore, you must not expose your ID and password to any third person. Before leaving your computer, always log out from your member account.
3. Once you register for membership, it is considered that you authorized UIIM to collect and use your personal information on the application form.
Article 7 (Information Security of Users)
1. From the moment you register for membership services on the UIIM Homepage, you are given the responsibility to secure secrecy of your personal information. You also have the responsibility to handle the consequences that may follow your use of member ID and password.
2. As a member, you have the responsibility to keep your ID and password confidential. If you find that your ID and/or password has been used fraudulently, you must immediately report it to the UIIM Homepage. If you do not report it, you will be responsible for the consequently.
3. Users are required to log out after using the UIIM Homepage services. The UIIM Homepage is not responsible for any losses users suffer by failing to log out from the session and exposing their personal information to third parties.
Article 8 (Termination of Service)
1. The UIIM Homepage can restrict or terminate your use of service if you violate this agreement.
Article 9 (Modification/Cancellation of Service)
1. The UIIM Homepage is not responsible for the profits you expect from using our service or the losses you see by using information you obtained through our service. We are not responsible for the credibility or accuracy of information and resources posted by other members.
2. The UIIM Homepage is not responsible for any losses that are intentionally or accidentally caused to members during the use of our service.
3. The UIIM Homepage monitors unused accounts to reduce the e-mail spaces wasted. If you do not log onto your e-mail or other additional services on the UIIM Homepage for three months, your access to such services will be suspended. If you do not log on for another three months (for six month in total), your access to your account could be terminated and all of your data could be removed.
Article 10 (Copyright of Posts)
1. You have the rights to the information you post on the Homepage.
2. The UIIM Homepage reserves the right to edit, use, or delete your posts on the bulletin board without notification.
3. You are responsible for the civil or criminal charges that are caused by posting someone else’s copyrighted items without authorization.
Chapter 3 Obligations and Responsibilities
Article 11 (Obligations of the UIIM Homepage)
1. The UIIM Homepage will not disclose or distribute your personal information without your consent, unless requested by a national organization or the Korea Internet Safety Commission under the Electric Communication Basic Act or other laws.
Article 12 (Obligations of Members)
1. You must provide accurate information when registering for membership. You must be able to keep your information up to date and must not expose your ID and/or password to any third person.
2. Members cannot use the UIIM Homepage serves to make profits without authorization.
Chapter 4 Miscellaneous
Chapter 13 (Prohibition of Transfer)
1. Members are not permitted to transfer or provide as a gift their authority to use our services or other rights given by signing the user agreement.
Chapter 14 (Compensations)
1. The UIIM Homepage is not responsible for any losses caused by our free services unless they are based on an intentional criminal activity of the UIIM Homepage.
Chapter 15 (Exemptions)
1. The UIIM Homepage does not support, reject, or modify any opinions posted by a member or a third party. The UIIM Homepage is not responsible for profits or losses which members may experience by using information on the services.
2. The UIIM Homepage is not responsible for any trade or monetary transaction between members or between a member and a third party on the Homepage. The UIIM Homepage is not responsible for the profits members expect from using our service
Chapter 16 (Lawsuits)
1. Any dispute between the UIIM Homepage and a user shall be handled by the Korean Constitution
